Health-Overhaul-Integrative

Do you want to start 2015 off on the right foot? Are you ready for your healthiest year yet? We are looking to give total health overhauls to four local Michiana residents. The program will run for eight weeks beginning January 5th and will look into health factors including everything diet, exercise, stress level, and family medical history.

The goal of the program is to highlight the major differences between traditional medicine and the more holistic approach of Functional Medicine. Functional Medicine uses an in-depth knowledge of the patient to actively treat and prevent illness and disease rather than prescribe drugs without addressing possible underlying factors.

To apply for the health overhaul, people can email info@wellnessmichiana.com with a photo and their story. Applications are being accepted now through November 30, 2014.

Integrative Health and Wellness was created out of the vision and passion of local female entrepreneurs, Erin Brandes, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, and Blair Herrman, RN, MSN FNP-BC. Both Brandes and Herrman have extensive experience in traditional medicine and are passionate about making Michiana a healthier, happier place to live, work, and play.

“We want to provide patients with way more than typical healthcare. We are striving to institute a paradigm shift in what patients know, believe, and experience in healthcare today. We hope to establish great relationships by providing the community with a new way to care for themselves,” said owner Blair Herrman.

Integrative Health and Wellness is a patient-centered family medical practice located in Granger, Indiana that integrates the traditional practices of western medicine along with the practice of functional medicine to help patients reach their healthy, personal best.
